Monday December 29, 2008

Gross ticket sales for Broadway shows are out for the week ending December 28 and after two weeks of second place to Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Wicked is back on top with a whopping $1.8 million-plus in sales and 100 percent capacity, according to Playbill.com.

The Lion King was in second place followed by White Christmas and Billy Elliot.

Interestingly, all three Disney shows - The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins, topped the $1 million sales mark.
