New York's Legacy Studios will go green when the cast of Shrek the Musical descends upon them to record an original cast CD.

Shrek – produced by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions – features music by Olivier Award-winner Jeanine Tesori with book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire. Tesori will produce the cast CD with the show's sound designer Peter Hylenski.

Brian d'Arcy James stars in the title role with Sutton Foster as Princess Fiona, Daniel Breaker as Donkey, and Christopher Sieber as Lord Farquaad.

The CD is being released by Decca Broadway and is expected to be available in March.
