Foote's 9-Play Cycle Gets Signature, Hartford Productions

The Signature Theatre Company, which dedicates full seasons to one playwright, has announced a co-production with the Hartford Stage of a nine-play cycle by Horton Foote.

The Orphans' Home Cycle will be performed in rep, sometimes as a day-long marathon, at Hartford Stage August 27 through October 17 and at Signature October 29 through April 11. Michael Wilson, who directed Foote’s most recent Broadway play, the very well-reviewed Dividing the Estate, will direct.

The cycle includes some reworked versions of plays written as long as 30 years ago and new works.
