'Distracted' with Cynthia Nixon Extends Run
Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Distracted with Sex in the City's Cynthia Nixon has added a week to its off-Broadway run and will now close May 10. The new play by Lisa Loomer and directed by Mark Brokaw is in previews and opens March 4.
Nixon, a Best Actress Tony-winner, is the distracted mom of the title trying to deal with her distracted child and reaching out to teachers, psychotherapists, and neighbors for help. Is Attention Deficit Disorder the problem? Is Ritalin the answer? The play takes a funny, fast-paced look at it.
Distracted is playing at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, 111 West 46th Street.
