'Hair'-y Time for Taking Kids to Broadway

Despite predictions of declining theater attendance, I remain confident that good shows will continue to attract solid audiences. And while it's never too early to starting interesting your kids in theater and building the next generation of theater fans, the content of many of today's shows means you've got a bit of work to do.
I've posted tips for taking kids to the theater that can help you help them enjoy the experience. And an excellent article in the New York Times gives interesting insight into what excites, bores or shocks young theater attendees. I don't think I'd take pre-teens to see Hair, but I certainly enjoyed reading about the process of discussing with them what they had seen. And the varied reaction of children to shows ranging from Guys and Dolls to Rock of Ages is instructive.
