Attention Broadway and musical variety fans! Commence exuberant rejoicing! HBO has set the wheels in motion for a new series based on the trials and tribulations of a Broadway composer entitled Miraculous Year.
Tony Award winner Patti LuPone is set to star along with television stars Lee Pace of Pushing Daisies and Linus Roache of Law & Order. Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director, is an Executive Producer and will direct the pilot.
Like you, I'm expecting a parade of Broadway stars singing on the small screen for this show. Kind of like Glee for grown-ups.
