Keep your money on the table -- it seems all bets are not off for the re-make of the Broadway classic musical Gypsy supposedly starring Barbra Streisand.
Though it was said writer/director Arthur Laurents stopped the project after a chat with lyricist Stephen Sondheim, a new deal appears to give the Gypsy creators a good deal of creative control -- in particular, who will be cast in the roles of "Herbie" and "Louise." An interesting turn of events since Tom Hanks was supposedly being considered for "Herbie."
Though there is little to go on at this point, one thing that seems definite is that neither Streisand nor Tom Hooper will direct. Babs will only sink her teeth into the role of "Mama Rose."
So who's your favorite "Mama Rose"? Take the poll and see how your fave stacks up!
