More Broadway stars are crossing over from the big stage to the small screen. Along with Steven Spielberg's upcoming TV show "Smash," NBC is betting on the stylized retro appeal of "The Playboy Club" to stimulate the Monday night line-up. With voluptuous women in their tight bunny suits dancing and serving drinks, viewers will glimpse the inner world of the famous Playboy lifestyle.
Leading the bunny throng is two-time Tony Award winner Laura Benanti who plays "Carol-Lynne," omniscient mentor to the newer bunny recruits. Benanti is currently nominated for yet another Tony Award for her role in the recent Broadway musical, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
With all that's going on, Benanti certainly has plenty on her creative plate. Check out the Tonys June 12th on CBS and "The Playboy Club" on NBC this Fall.
