It took 42 years, but Broadway is near the top of the charts again!
Numbers released today show that the original cast album of The Book of Mormon has reached #3 on Billboard's Top 200 -- a feat that has not been accomplished by a Broadway cast album in 42 years!
Hilarious and irreverent, listening to the BOM CD is a revelation in how the Broadway musical is most definitely back in a big way. Winning 9 Tony Awards didn't hurt either.

That really is an amazing accomplishment. It’s just a shame that in order to pull it off, the creators of South Park had to put together an even more vile, bigoted caricature than they already had. My only hope is that the people who enjoy this musical will also take the time to learn the truth about both Latter-day Saints and Ugandans in general, both of whom are severely misrepresented therein.
