Previously announced Samuel L. Jackson will take the stage with an equally dynamic co-star in the upcoming Broadway production of The Mountaintop.
Katori Hall's Olivier Award-winning play will be helmed by Tony Award-nominated Fences and A Raisin in the Sun director Kenny Leon, and Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett will co-star.
The Mountaintop explores the finals days of the life and work of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to be played by Jackson, with Bassett playing "Camae." Previews begin September 22, 2011, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre at 242 West 45th Street, and Opening Night is set for October 13, 2011.
