What a difference a day makes...or even two or three.

When New York City shut down over the weekend for the mandatory evacuation ahead of Hurricane Irene, everyone knew it would affect the business end of "show business." But those 3 days off from tripping the lights fantastic lost $8 million for Broadway, which pulls in almost $10 billion annually for the city and state of New York.

Broadway is a vital industry for New York and everyone who loves great theatre. We're all relieved the Theatre District was not damaged by the storm and that it's "back to business" for all the artists, techs, and craftspeople involved.
