'Mary Poppins' on Broadway

The family-friendly favorite, Mary Poppins, will celebrate its 2000th performance this weekend and gain a new lead in the coming weeks.
Disney's Mary Poppins will perform its 2000th Broadway show on Sunday, September 4, 2011. The current leading lady, Laura Michelle Kelly, won an Olivier Award for her work as the magical governess in the London West End production. Her last performance will be October 9th, and filling her dancing shoes will be the national tour's lead, Steffanie Leigh, who will be making her Broadway debut with this role October 11th.
