Since proving his singing chops both on the live stage and the televised stage, Hugh Jackman is no longer a questionable Broadway musical star.
Jackman won the 2004 Tony Award, Drama Desk, and the Theatre World Awards for Best Actor in a Musical for The Boy from Oz. He has done Carousel at Carnegie Hall, Oklahoma! in London, and at home in Australia, Jackman performed in Les Miserables, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and Sunset Boulevard.
Backed by an 18-piece orchestra, Jackman returns to New York, performing a solo show called Back on Broadway (before beginning filming on Les Miz). Music Direction is helmed by Patrick Vaccariello and staging by Follies' Choreographer, Warren Carlyle.
Jackman will croon his favorite showtunes for a limited engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre. Previews begin October 25th, with Opening Night set for November 10th. Tickets for this 10-week run can be obtained through the website.
