Proving that a traditional musical (and revival) can compete with the newer shock-busters, Anything Goes just might be here to stay.
Cole Porter's classy song and dance extravaganza started out as a limited run with the possibility of extending. Now, the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Revival of Anything Goes has booked the Stephen Sondheim Theatre through at least April 29, 2012.
Starring 2011 Tony Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical, Sutton Foster, and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey, Anything Goes was directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall. Marshall claimed another Tony for her collection for Anything Goes' choreography. The fabulous cast includes Tony nominee Adam Godley, as "Lord Evelyn Oakleigh," and the velvety-voiced Coin Donnell (who should have been nominated for a Tony) as "Billy Crocker".
