'Jesus Christ Superstar' Set for March 2012 Opening

Rock musical fans need to set the date. It is confirmed that the previously reported Los Angeles transfer of the re-imagined Jesus Christ Superstar will definitely hit Broadway in March 2012.

Stratford Shakespeare Festivals' acclaimed production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar opened in Canada, enjoying a very successful run, before it transferred to the La Jolla Playhouse in Los Angeles. For 2012, Webber's Really Useful Group and Dodger Properties are bringing Superstar to the Neil Simon Theatre for a March 22, 2012 Opening.

Previews begin March 1st, and tickets can be purchased through the website.
