The Ides of March turned out to be a favorable day for the long anticipated return of Arthur Miller's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Death of a Salesman.
The Broadway revival of Salesman stars Academy Award winner Phillip Seymour Hoffman in a tour-de-force stage performance in Miller's iconic tale of the downward spiral of one man's Americana dreams.
Directed by 9-time Tony Award winner Mike Nichols, Death of a Salesman was bound to be a smash with critics as well as audiences, and indeed, that does seem to be the case. In a solid year for plays and musicals, the Broadway scene is busting with amazing performances around the Rialto.
Death of a Salesman plays 8 shows per week at the Barrymore Theatre at 243 West 47th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenues. To get tickets to this well-crafted and expertly acted show, visit the show's website.
