Broadway's biggest sensation will soon be ringing a doorbell near you, and to spread the good word (of musical theatre), Broadway faves are joining the fray.
The winner of nine Tony Awards last June, The Book of Mormon is undoubtedly the biggest and brightest ticket along the Great White Way. With the announcement of the BOM national tour, BOMophiles everywhere wondered who would step into the fashion-backward shoes of American's favorite slacker Mormons.
Producers announced today the first star to be cast in the national tour of The Book of Mormon is Broadway hottie and activist Gavin Creel as "Elder Price."
Creel issued a statement about this upcoming gig:
"I'm a huge 'South Park' fan, loved Avenue Q, and cannot wait to work with Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Bobby Lopez and Casey Nicholaw. 'Elder Price' is an amazing role and I am so excited to take The book of Mormon across the country."
Stay tuned for more national tour casting updates and news!
