Experience

Chris Caggiano is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles on musical theater for two years. He is an associate professor of theater at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he has taught since 2004. In addition to teaching courses in musical theater history and musical theater dance history, he also teaches liberal arts courses in arts criticism, among other topics. He was named the Boston Conservatory Liberal Arts Faculty Member of the Year 2009 and 2014.

Chris is the creator of popular theater blog Everything I Know I Learned From Musicals, which he ran from 2006 to 2014. He is a founding member of the Independent Theater Bloggers Association (ITBA) and a member of Outer Critics Circle and The Drama League.

He was named a 2010 Fellow at the National Critics Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and has served as a reader for the O'Neill Center's National Music Theatre Conference. He also served as a juror for the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) from 2013 to 2016.

Chris has written theater reviews for TheaterMania.com, ZEALnyc, and American Theatre. His writing has also appeared in numerous other publications, including Inc., CMO,  Deliver, The Advocate, Corporate Counsel, D&O Adviser, and Artscope. Additionally, he wrote the liner notes for the PS Classics releases "Life Begins at 8:40" and "Noel and Cole."

Education

Chris graduated magna cum laude from Boston College.
