59th Annual Tony Awards

Broadway Shows 2004 - 2005

From Maria Knapp, for About.com

The Tony Awards were announced on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Hugh Jackman did an excellent job hosting the awards again this year. The winners were pretty evenly divided this year. The Light in the Piazza was the big winner with six awards, but half of them were technical awards. It did win Best Original Score, but failed to win the coveted Best Musical.
