A lot of new shows are opening up on Broadway over the next six months. The beginning of this is an alphabetical list of shows that have already opened. Then shows are lsited by when they begin performances.

Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance

Dame Edna, the incomparable international housewife, megastar and guru, storms back to Broadway in her all-new extravaganza. Dame Edna will glow from the stage in a series of never-before-seen gowns. She will sing, dance, give psychic readings, offer marriage counseling and even heal. Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, her last Broadway production, received a Special Tony Award for a Live Theatrical Event.

La Cage Aux Folles

Based on the French movie (which was also the inspiration for the American version The Birdcage), this delightful music is what I think family values are all about. A young man brings his fiancé and her conservative parents home to meet his parents, a gay couple who run a nightclub. His parents change as best as they can to present a tradition home to make their son happy.

Reckless
Biltmore Theatre

The Broadway premier of Craig Lucas' bittersweet comedy. A runaway wife needs to dodge a murderous husband, numerous psychiatrists and an assortment of shady characters in a bizarre, hilarious and sometimes nightmarish journey.

Whoopi Lyceum Theatre 149 West 45th Street Whoopi Goldberg, the Tony, Oscar, Grammy and Emmy award-winning star, returns to Broadway in a brand-new version of the show that made her an overnight sensation. Supervised by Mike Nichols, Whoopi introduces two new characters and revisits a few of the old favorites.
