New York Theater Discounts: TKTS Booths

Among the best options for finding New York discount theater tickets on the day of or the day before a performance are the TKTS booths, with three locations. New York’s TKTS booths are a service of the Theatre Development Fund and offer discounts of up to 50% on tickets to Broadway and off-Broadway shows and to special events. TKTS is a cash-only operation and adds a $3 handling fee to each ticket purchased. Locations include:

• Times Square
  Broadway at West 47th Street
  (Under the red steps at Duffy Square)
  

  Hours:
  For evening performances:
  Monday through Saturday: 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Sunday: 3:00 p.m. until 30 minutes before the latest curtain time of shows on sale

  For matinees:
  Wednesday and Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

• South Street Seaport

  Hours:
  For day-of evening or next-day matinee performances:

  Monday through Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
