The luxurious boutique hotel, The Algonquin, has renamed its best room the Promises, Promises suite after the recent Broadway revival hit starring Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes. Built in 1902, this renovated charmer boasts smooth contemporary style and Art Deco-esque décor in the heart of New York City’s bustling Theatre District.
To celebrate this suite renaming, the first 10 people to book the room will receive a Playbill signed by Tony and Emmy Award-winner Chenoweth and Emmy winner Hayes.
The Algonquin is the oldest operating hotel in New York City, and its lobby was the birthplace of the famed New Yorker magazine, a fact honored by the New Yorker cartoons wallpaper.
The Algonquin is the first (and only) New York City hotel to become a part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, so visitors can use and accrue Marriott Rewards points. And the cute little "Bath & Bodyworks" toiletries are a great bonus.
The hotel’s "Blue Bar" also serves an original cocktail inspired by the show called "Marge's OWL-Gonquin." Created by Rodney Landers, this sparkling elixir consists of Knob Creek small batch whiskey, Grand Marnier, pineapple, and orange twist, shaken and served in a martini glass.
You can book the Promises, Promises room by calling (212) 840-6800. But book the suite quickly. Once word gets out, those limited availability autographed Playbills will be gone!
