About This Show:
Accent on Youth, starring David Hyde Pierce, is a 1934 comedy by Samuel Raphaelson that has been on Broadway and turned into a movie.
Accent on Youth focuses on successful playwright Steven Gaye (Hyde Pierce) who has grown soft and lazy in mid-career. But he becomes inspired again by assistant, Linda Brown. The trouble is, hes not the only one shes inspiring.
Whos Who and Whats What:
Accent on Youth is another revival from the Manhattan Theatre Club and brings Hyde Pierce back to Broadway, for which we can all be grateful. He was last up with a Tony-winning performance in Curtains. Mary Catherine Garrison is Linda. Audiences know her recently from Top Girls.
And speaking of Top Girls, the director of that show, Daniel Sullivan, is directing Accent on Youth.
