‘Rock of Ages’ – Bringin’ Back the ’80s

About This Show:

Rock of Ages, a new Broadway musical featuring music of all the ’80s “hair bands,” premiered off-Broadway last year to enthusiastic audiences.

Rock of Ages is a juke-box musical with a story woven around more than 30 songs from the ’80s from such groups as Styx, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi, and Journey.

It tells the story of aspiring rockers banding together to save Sunset Strip from evil German developers.

Who’s Who and What’s What:

Rock of Ages features American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis, Amy Spanger, and James Carpinello.

The book is by Chris D’Arienzo, and the show is directed by Kristin Hanggi. Choreography is by Kelly Devine.
