101 Words About This Show:
An original Broadway musical, 13 tells the story of Evan, a Jewish kid from New York whose parents' divorce moves him to Indiana. Producers call it a "grown-up musical about growing up." As the new kid, Evan's got to make friends, then determine if they are the "right" friends to have. All the while, he works to get the cool kids to his Bar Mitzvah.
The show features a Broadway novelty, the entire cast is comprised of teenagers and the band is made up of teenagers as well.
13 was previously performed at the Mark Taper Forum and the Goodspeed Opera House.

13 features music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, who is well known on and off-Broadway for Parade and The Last Five Years. Dan Elish and Robert Horn wrote the book. The show is directed by Jeremy Sams who is a lyricist, composer, and book writer in his own right, and who directed Broadways revival of Noises Off.
