Broadway will once again revel in the embrace of angst and faded glory as only Tennessee Williams could write it... or that is the hope of Producer Scott Rudin, who is also producing the upcoming musical, The Book of Mormon.

Hedging bets this show finds its footing amidst finicky ticket-buyers, casting includes Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman as the has-been movie-goddess "Alexandra Del Lago." No word yet on who shall play the prodigal gigolo "Chance Wayne," but Direction will be in the masterful hands of David Cromer, who is also directing the Broadway revival of The House of Blue Leaves.

Trivia: In the original 1959 Broadway production, "Alexandra" was portrayed by Geraldine Page, and "Chance Wayne" was played by a young Paul Newman.
